QUOTE FOR WEB DESIGN
TETON BACKCOUNTRY ALLIANCE
Website Re-Design
Scope of Work
Goal:
Update the Teton Backcountry Alliance website with a fresh look and additional features. Streamline existing content for easier reader-access. Include more video footage, community forum, and latest podcast.
Website Build Specs
After reviewing the current Teton Backcountry Alliance website, I created a list of the data to be included in the new web design. Using the Wasatch Backcountry Alliance website as a reference point for the new design, I've created an outline of pages to be made for the new TBCA site, seen below.
The information will remain largely the same, but will be organized in a more contemporary design. It's my goal to make the information easier to read by eliminated the "wall of text" that people often skim through, instead highlighting information so that the site is an easier to navigate resource.
The outline below describes the new organization for the site, taking into consideration additional features such as Member Forum, and Podcast streaming. The updated design layout for the site will have an easy to navigate feel that includes images and videos highlighting TBCA and the greater Tetons.

Website Page Outline
This outline provides a general sense of the website build using the information from the current TBCA website. Some things may ebb and flow as the design is built and as you provide feedback. Items in outline with an asterisk are counted as individual pages.

Workflow
Preliminary Design:
I'll provide you with 3 different design options of the Home page. You choose the one you like, and the rest of the site will be be designed similarly. I will share design updates at regular intervals for feedback.

Each page can have 3 rounds of feedback, so we can work together to make it fit your needs.

Photographs and Additional Content:
During the design process I will use stock photos where applicable and photos from the old TBCA site. Any new photos, videos, or content provided by TBCA will be applied during feedback revisions.

Additional Specs:
Any additional modifications not listed in this proposal can be discussed on an as-needed basis and added to the project at any time, with fees for extra services agreed upon and added to the final payment of the project.

Finalizing Design:
When the design for each page has been approved, and all final changes are made to the site, you will do a final review of the site before designer will launch live website.

Launching Website:
To launch the new website I will need to connect your TBCA payment to the Wix server for the monthly fee for website hosting, to be paid directly to Wix. The monthly fee for a Wix site will be between $29-$38, depending on the features in the final build. Then I will need the login information for your domain name server, so that I can redirect your domain to the new website. Within 24 hours of connecting your Wix site to your domain name, your site will be live.

Website Design & Setup:
-

-

-
Basic SEO using standard Wix protocols

Explanation of Fees
Adding content and images, working on layout, making everything look and perform smoothly takes a high attention to detail. I estimate that each page on a website takes approximately 8 hours to reach the final design. My hourly rate is $40, so my usual price per page is $320. At my standard rate the price for the TBCA site would be $4160.

Because Teton Backcountry Alliance is a local non-profit, I'd like to extend my support by only charging for 6 hours per page, or $240 per page. This is the price listed above, which is a savings of $1040.
Fee Schedule
If Teton Backcountry Alliance wishes CJCreativ to go forward with the project, the fee schedule is as follows:
-
50% due upon acceptance of the proposal before work commences
-
25% due upon delivering the completed design for all pages
-
Final 25% plus any incurred additional hourly fees upon completion of website build.
-
CJCreativ will launch website upon receipt of final payment.

Additional Services
"I have this great website, but how do I maintain it and keep it updated?
Teton Backcountry Alliance provides a unique service to the community, and may have special needs for ongoing maintenance and updates. Please consider the following options that may serve your needs:
-
Weekly winter updates
-
Monthly News & Events updates
-
Podcast updates as needed
-
Community Forum management
-
Monthly systems checks to optimize site
I would be happy to continue any ongoing services TBCA needs for their website. For occasional maintenance service requests I charge my same hourly rate, $40, with a 2-Hour minimum, and 15% tax to all invoices.

We can also create a maintenance plan specific to your needs to be contracted for 6 months at a time, so your website is guaranteed to have up-to-date content. A service plan takes the guesswork out of keeping your website fresh and relevant to the community.

Please let me know if you'd like to discuss a service agreement.
Next Steps
To proceed with this project:
-
Accept the proposal "as is" or discuss desired changes to the contract.
-
I'll email you a final contract to get a digital signature.
-
Sign contract & submit initial payment of 50% of total project fee.

Once these steps have been completed we will begin the project.
Thank You
